Forthcoming Work Parties

Autumn + Spring preparation in the woodland.

Bank clearing

When? First Saturday of each month 10am – 12 noon (weather permitting) 

Saturday 4th November,

Saturday 2nd December 

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland.

What? Tasks : Autumn planting for spring flowering,  plus our on-going litter collection and general tidying. Wildflower meadow cuttings removal may require an additional work party… Watch this space!

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland.

What?  To count the number of butterflies seen in the woodland for the national survey big butterfly count.

The opening of a Moth Trap to show the various species of moths that can be found locally.

Bat Walks.

When?  These to resume on the final Friday of each month in June, July and August 2018.Dates and times to be confirmed.

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland walking to King George VI Park and back.

What? An evening stroll at sunset, commencing at the woodland to count the number of bat sightings for national survey.
