Forthcoming Work Parties

Tidying the woodland.

When? First Saturday of each month 10am – 12 noon (weather permitting)

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland.

What? Tasks : Alexander, Bramble and ivy /side shoot removal from trees plus our on-going litter collection.

Bat Walks.

When?  The last Friday of summer months – 30th June 8:45pm, 28th July 8:30pm NB CANCELLED – BAT WALK this evening 28.7.17 apologies!  We are very fortunate to be joined by Shirley Thomson from Kent Bat Group to lead our walk + talk  on Friday 25th Aug 7:45pm

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland walking to King George VI Park and back.

What? An evening stroll at sunset, commencing at the woodland to count the number of bat sightings for national survey.

Come along to this interesting evening and find out more about these beautiful, mysterious, nocturnal visitors to our local area.

Where? Meet in the Clearing in Montefiore Woodland.

What?  To count the number of butterflies seen in the woodland for the national survey big butterfly count.

The opening of a Moth Trap to show the various species of moths that can be found locally.
